Horrible service. They gave my dog something which caused him to have seizures. With no help from them at all, they called me and told me to come pick my dog up to take him to the emergency vet to try to save them. They didn't provide me with any help on transportation knowing I stayed 40 minutes away. When I got there they charged me 700 dollars just to get my dog to take him to the emergency room. Knowing he might die they didn't care at all.

I have boarded my dog at VCA Boulder Terrace for upwards of 10 months. Initially, I believed the care to be adequate until the last time in which the staff placed my dog in inappropriate and unsafe situations resulting in putting my dog and the staff in a dangerous event which the blame was then being placed on us as owners for not informing of our dogs reactive behavior. However, EVERY TIME we dropped our dog off for boarding, we verbalized that he was very reactive to other dogs and listed medication to aid in his reactivity. The staff denied us ever telling this information and told us that they had no way of knowing the rationale for why he was getting the medication they were administering during his stay, which makes me feel unsafe bringing my animal to a medical facility in which they are unsure of basic medication uses. We would have happily provided any additional information on his medication, but were never asked. When asked why this information of his reactivity was never placed in his chart, the Kennel Manager responded that it was most likely an oversight due to limits in their documentation system, once again agreeing that this was an issue on their end. Additionally, she informed me that the staff blatantly disregarded postings in my dogs kennel resulting in them placing him and the staff at harm once again. Please be VERY wary of bringing any animal to this facility. The staff interactions and customer service I received was sub par at best. I appreciate corporate looking into this situation, but of course, nothing but coaching opportunities will be done to rectify this awful experience.

My dog was choking on a piece of bone and having trouble breathing. VCA Boulder Terrace was the closest animal hospital we could find so we called to see if we could rush our dog over. I called first to see what we needed to do and the lady who answered said Heres what you need to do. Call over to the VCA Aurora because we close in 30 min and they are open. I honestly thought the person was going to give me advice or express concern but cared more about their closing time than the life of an animal. VCA Boulder terrace is 2 minutes from our house and the Aurora location is close to 30 min away. I hung up the phone in disgust and called another hospital that was able to save our dog. If you care about your pets, this is not the place to go to. Hopefully they start hiring people that have compassion and care.
