This is a great location at a reasonable price. CVS and Butler Wine right across the street and only a few blocks from the Square. Quiet and comfortable with offstreet parking. Maintenance is 24 hours and quick repairs.

I had a terrible experience. Based on my experience, I found the management to be litigious, predatory, and an option all students should avoid.

In response to Teresa Dunten's post. The lease specifically tells tenants that we do not do just summer subleasing. Tenants have to initial after reading each paragraph of the lease. The apartments do have electric heat but there are heating units in the living room AND the bedroom. The square footage at Sunflower II is 540 sq. ft. Tenants are told their electric bill can run as low as $30 and as high as $120. That depends on your use. The reserved office parking spot in the lot is available to all tenants Monday - Friday from 5:30 pm. through 8:30 am. Yes there is an adult store next door which is divided from the apartment building with a privacy fence and their customers never bother the apartment building nor do they park here. As for homeless people, Bloomington has a HUGE homeless community! Everyone experiences these less fortunate people at different times. They do not frequent our building and if management is told about such a situation then the police are called or tenants are told to call police themselves. This tenant was angry because she didn't follow the rules of the lease, got called on it and got angry. Thus the review she left. 99.999% of our tenants are outstanding tenants who know how to follow the rules of the lease. Sadly some think they are above the rules. As for not being able to reach the "people who make decisions" any decision issues were passed on to the "people who make decisions" and this particular tenant didn't like the results. Sadly we do have to deal with an occasional stinker but fortunately they are few and far between. Update: The newest review by Daniel Denton is Teresa Denton's husband who did not live here and is again after 2 years, childishly lashing out at us in anger because the problems his wife were because she refused to follow rules. They both think they are above the rules.

I have rented a small, cozy house from Crown Management since 1996 up to the present day, and I have had an excellent experience with Crown and have been very happy with them for all of that time. All of their property managers and maintenance technical staff including those in place now have been kind, responsive and competent, and I consider them friends.Over the years they have performed maintenance promptly when needed, and have made some improvements which make the house even more desirable. The bottom line is that I could not have asked for a better relationship between a property management company and a renter. I would not hesitate to recommend Crown Management for your housing needs.

This review is of the Crown Management manager and the Sunflower II property. Cons: * Relatively far from campus (over 1.2 miles from Kelley and 6 Bus never runs on time). * Their "premium" unit (for which I pay an additional $325/year) lacks a dishwasher and laundry, has stained linoleum, and is less than 500 sq ft. You must also lock your door from the outside. * There is no laundry facility in the complex. Closest laundromat is 17th Street Coin laundry (0.5 miles away). Bring mace, ladies! * Complex is a motel set-up next to a porn shop. * Homeless people frequent the stairs by the mailboxes for shelter. * You can only deal with Theresa Burgess, the office manager, who is unable to make any decisions. You cannot communicate directly with the "decision maker". * You cannot sublease during the summer to a tenant who will not be living there the entire following year (aka minimum 15 month tenant) which they failed to disclose. * Your total rent paid is the same whether you sign a 9 month lease or a 12 month lease. * My Duke Energy bill for my
