I opened a business account for my sole proprietorship, and within 1 week was very unhappy with their customer service demanding a state registration when my state does not require business registration of a sole proprietorship. Needless to say, I was able to open up a business account at another bank. As adding insult to injury, BMO charged me $50 for being an unhappy customer and closing my account. Wow, unbelievable. Needless to say, I could never recommend BMO to anyone. You have so many other banks to do business with.
