First Merchants Bank

I had fraudulent charges on my account. I went to the Carmel branch at 9:30am and spent 45 minutes trying to get it addressed and get a new Debit card. They took and cut up my old card gave me a new card and said they would debit my account for the fraudulent transactions. The next day I received 12 more fraudulent transactions all from one of the fraud vendors Iocations I identified the day before. I called customer service and they said the branch manager at Carmel erroneous had not turned off my old card. They said they could not deny the 12 new pending fraudulent transactions but that they could be disputed and I would have to wait 10 to 90 days to get my funds back. Will be closing my account in 90 days and never use First Merchants again!! Update on 10/31/23 - regional manager did followup and finally got my money back in my account (provisionally). Changing my review from 1 star to 3 star. Hope others dont go through this.

Excellent service. I was there regarding my property tax inquiry. Monica help me a lot. She called another branch and confirm the information, to clear my doubts.
