Hampton Inn & Suites Hammond

This really makes feel like the lesson in bad customer service. The front desk personnel at this hotel really needs further training in customer service. Providing lip service, reading from a script and downright lying is what they have mastered. Case in point: 1) stayed here for 5 days, and most days I was away during the day time, and I put the DND tag outside, so room service wasnt done. not the cleaning crew fault. But when I was available one of the days, and asked for service, they just said "We'll see if we can send someone". No interest in doing the thing. just said it and forgot about it. Result: No room service since check-in. 2) Being a GOLD member, Hilton typically provides a late checkout (subject to availability). When asked for ONE hour late checkout, they read from the script/memory, sternly: only till 1 pm. Didnt check my account or hilton status, didnt check the system, just a plain excuse - we are full! And the website is still selling rooms! All in all, pretty disappointing experience. Too bad I always stayed at this location, but no more after this. The front desk personnel need more training in how to be customer friendly, while still adhering to policy. Or just different jobs.

VERY nice, clean rooms. Loved it Food & drinks: Very close to eating places.

I stayed for a day and it wasnt as good, the hotel is a little outdated and needs some maintenance.

I stayed here twice on my way to Chicago for business and on the return. The first night was ok. The night on my return was horrible and the room should never have been occupied until they fixed the issues. The primary issue was the furnace made noises that kept me up the entire night. I called for maintenance and they came twice. No resolution. (The curtains were also raggedy & torn & the shower was dirty - which wasnt even part of my complaint). The fact that I got no sleep or rest was my primary concern. The next day the manager Katrina gave me her word l & handshake that she would rather give me points equal to one nights stay than credit my card & refund me for that night. She never issued the credit upon contacting her 3 times following my checkout date. Katrina has no integrity, does not know how to manage a hotel, she is unprofessional, she showed up several hours late on the day I checked out & her overnight front desk employee had to stay until she arrived. I had to contact corporate to file a complaint. The lobby of the hotel & location was the only good thing about this hotel.
