Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hammond, an IHG Hotel

My recent Easter weekend stay here at this location again was great - except for a NOT so pleasant room issue with ants! Eek!! However, again, the entire staff was cordial and kind. The afternoon lady was very accommodating with stepping right in to help change rooms (which turned out to be a better and more spacious room)! My only complaint is that the MANAGEMENT staff should ensure to stay ahead of these issues during this time of year - the beginning of Spring when ants tend to emerge seeking water. Lastly - there were a group of kids/teens on the 2nd floor this weekend who were EXTREMELY disrespectfully loud - with running throughout the floor Sunday morning while guests were still sleeping. This SHOULD never be tolerated!! Management also SHOULD certainly have signs posted regarding parents ensuring to maintain their children with proper conduct and RESPECT of guests! Children should also NOT be allowed to serve themselves at the breakfast counter whatsoever, Other than these issues, I'd say overall the stay was mostly peaceful (with a great water/forest view) and relaxing! Rooms: Rooms are cozy, beds are very comfy and the back rooms have a great relaxing view. Safety: I feel like this area is pretty safe and clean. Like anywhere else - guests should always be aware at all times of your surroundings. Walkability: GREAT walkable area behind the hotel, with a nice walking trail! Food & drinks: There are sufficient restaurants, including a brewery/eatery nearby.

Stayed 3 nights. Dirty bed sheets, they never cleaned the roo for 3 days, did not dump the trash and the heat would go from a/c set to 67 to heat set at 92, one of the worst experiences at a hotel ever. Rooms: Dirty.

My girlfriend Natalie and I were very comfortable and relaxed at this Holiday Inn. The service was excellent.

Had to stop here for the night on the way home because of a tornado on the road. Took us in no problem, with plenty of availability. No headache at all, which I really appreciate. Thank you to the staff for accommodating us.
