image WARNING: The owners will do the job incorrectly, take your money, and run. They wont respond and wont come fix what they never did right.
I had their landscape team come out to work on my yard last fall. Their job was to remove around 5 garden beds, all plants, all rocks and debris, and plant grass seed. I requested I be home when they do the job but they came when I was away on a vacation. When I returned, they were almost done with the job, and all of the dirt was laid down and grass seed and hay.
Fast forward to this spring. As the winter weather passed and as the spring rain has begun, their dirt they put down has started to shift only to find that they did not remove any of the rocks/bricks around my garden bed, and they didnt remove the roots of any of the plants. They simply covered it all with dirt. Every garden bed looks exactly like it did prior to their service, except they now have grass inside of them and my mower hits rocks every time I mow. They also didnt cover the fill areas with grass seed, so you can see very distinct marks of where they placed seed and where they didnt. Unfortunately, I trusted they did the job right and watered dirt for months on end, raising my water bill for nothing. Take a look at the various pictures below from this spring.
I reached out to the owner, the same person who came to do the job, (alongside around 3 high schoolers, not a cheap service by the way) and he said he would come out to talk and take a look. I asked for a day and he said he would have to check his calendar. He never responded after. I called him once a week for two weeks, sent a text both weeks too. Left voicemails. Nothing. The third week, I called their office, asked for a call back. Nothing. The next week, they send an email with my invoice saying the job is done. I respond with all the pictures showing it isnt, and they never responded. Ill never get this work done properly, and Ill never get any money back. Run. Find an honest and real landscaper who will own up to mistakes. Not answering your paying customers calls is childish and unprofessional, Chris. (By the way, his wife runs the office, so good luck getting anyone who doesnt hold the same opinion on the job).

Mr. Guimbellot, There are many untruths and misleading information told in your narrative. To say that we took your money and ran would imply that we did not do the work to begin with. We provided a service over 6 months ago. You state that Chris never got back to you with a date he was available to meet which is false. He told you that he would be in your area on Monday, March 18 doing lawn applications and could meet with you between 9-10am to discuss your concerns. You told him you were not available at that time. As I previously stated in my email to you dated Friday, March 29 we did not "simply cover everything with dirt" and did in fact haul off the landscaping bricks that were removed. We did not hide rocks throughout your yard. Also as stated within our terms and conditions which you agreed to upon acceptance of your estimate, we do not guarantee seed and straw and/or sod services due to the many factors that are out of our hands after we have completed the service, i.e. proper watering, any pets or wildlife that are on the areas, preexisting drainage issues, etc.You did a walk through with Chris after the service was completed and verbally acknowledged you were satisfied with the work. When you found an issue afterwards we immediately came out to rectify the problem. Six months later and you are no longer happy. We cannot control natural shifting/settling of the ground. The daffodil perennials that have come back in the grassy areas that were previously landscape beds is also not something we can control. They are a spreading perennial and the bulbs multiply underground and were not present on the surface during the time of the service. I'm not quite sure why it matters that we employ high school aged laborers, they are all very hard workers. You state you called our office, however I never received that call. I sent an email with a copy of the original estimate and paid invoice for the deposit. Your verbiage implies that I sent you an invoice to be paid which is not the case because again this work was done over 6 months ago. Finally, just because I am Chris' wife does not mean that I hold the same opinion as him. I am my own person with my own opinions. We just happen to agree on this matter that it is unreasonable to think that we would come back out 6 months later because you have now decided you're not happy.

image The owner of the company is a very responsive and upfront gentleman. He was very straightforward and did not sugarcoat or try to sell me any services that I did not need. Even though I did not commit to his services yet, I want others in my area to know how good his character is and how much I appreciated his salesmanship. Great company!
