We were swindled! There is no water pressure and no hot water. When we told the front desk about the situation, they became combative, like it was our fault. They finally agreed to bring it to the owners attention and he would contact us. That was a week ago. Its obvious the owners know about this issue, but clearly have no problem swindling happy couples looking forward to a romantic getaway. And how sanitary can a room be if it cant be cleaned with hot water? Especially a hot tub. We wound up camping in a tired, tawdry, glorified outbuilding with no hot water, poor TV reception, and a giant, useless hole in the floor. Oh, and that romantic little surprise that comes to your room every evening? Four graham crackers, six marshmallows, and a Hershey bar, so you can make smores over the fire ring on your back porchwhen its 40 degrees, windy and raining. Surprise!

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and my birthday which was the following day. . Our trip was strategically planned as it was just for the weekend. The staff was great upon our arrival. The roads leading into and throughout the resort were horrible on my new SUV that I had just purchased a week prior. They were muddy with small pot holes throughout! There was a huge puddle of muddy water leading into the resort. We wewr afraid to drive through it as we had no way of knowing just how deep it was!
I was dissatisfied but I was able to overlook that part although my car looked as if Id had it for quite awhile.with all of the dirt covering it from the muddy roads! I am so happy that it didnt rain while we were there. To top everything else off, the tub never filled after trying to fill it for 2 hours! Apparently the stopper was broken. I couldnt report it until the next day as all staff leave at 9PM. They sent someone to replace the stopper the next morning.
At that time, I was so frustrated because I purchased a bath package that I was unable to use! We had planned on going out that night but it was so dark and they dont have lights anywhere along the road to guide you back to the cabins. We were told to keep the deck lights on as a guide, however no one had their lights on except for us in our area and it was pitch black! I was not willing to risk tearing up my car on those raggedy roads in the dark!
Also, the refrigerator was loud as h!! Not to mention the sound of the self cleaning jets that are set to come on in the wee hours of the morning! They provide those cheap foam ear plugs that dont do anything! I always travel with 3M ear plugs as I am a light sleeper. My husband was not so lucky! He was awaken by all the noise at 5AM! He said it sounded like an angry grizzly bear!
We checked out a day early as I was unhappy with the turn of events. We werent offered anything for our inconvenience of paying for a bath package that I was unable to use. I feel that they should check to make sure that everything is functioning properly before they take peoples money! They should also let people know in advance that they dont have paved roads. I was told that the owner would reach out to me. That never happened.

Beautiful place and great getaway that's close to home. The only thing I would suggest is making the cabins adaptable for the handicap and elderly. Ramps, handrails for hottub, adjustable beds.

Visited twice. Second visit had a problem with rusty water in hot tub. Otherwise we are pleased with the amazing service and peaceful and beautiful atmosphere. No wifi so the DVD selection is limited. This is the place for Romance.
It can't be well water if it only turns red when the hot water is running!
