8.25.17 Don't ever buy a dress from here! I took my mom here in January of 2017 to find a mother of the bride dress. On February 8th, 2017 we paid in full for a dress that we were told would be here in June or beginning of July. When June came around I started calling to check the status of the dress, Val kept telling me just a couple more weeks. A couple weeks turned into August, at this point I started going by the store to see what was going on. Oddly enough they kept closing early every single day. Finally I get through and the owner tells me she is having problems and is being forced to close her store, but doesn't want to screw over any of her customers. So my moms dress will be in with plenty of time to spare, the same day I went to the store and asked for the designer name and number so I could call myself since I was never receiving a phone call back from Chiffon as promised by Val. Come to find out the designer of my moms dress said that they never received an order from Chiffon for this dress. This meant I paid Chiffon and they stole my money and never sent it to the designer to have the dress made!! When I confronted Val about this she insisted she even had a confirmation number when the order was placed, yet contradicted herself and stated she would discount the dress and pay rush fees so Ill get it in time. This honestly has been the worst service Ive ever seen from a bridal shop, this shop wont be open for much longer Im sure of it, if you have ordered a dress please get your money back because youll never see it. Being a bride and planning a wedding this was the last thing I thought I wouldve been dealing with. Thankfully I was able to get my money back and find another dress for my mom.

Part 1: If you are reading this review, you are one of three people: 1. Someone thinking about purchasing a dress/es from Chiffon Bridal. 2. Someone who has been told to check out the TERRIBLE reviews about Chiffon Bridal. 3. You are another unfortunate soul who was duped by Chiffons owner, and are comparing horror stories. I, unfortunately, am of the third party, however in my (and the rest of the bridal partys) defense, at the time we ordered (or thought we ordered) our dresses there were no terrible reviews to warn us of the impending events which would eventually unfold. I, the bride, and three other bridesmaids entered Chiffon on February 4, 2017 to try on and order bridesmaids dresses for the wedding on August 19, 2017. We of course were giddy over our friends engagement, wedding, and the sight of her in the dress she had previously picked and tried on for us that day. Each of us was measured and paid for our dresses (two of us put down half, the others paid in full). We had originally been told that it could take up to four months for the dresses to arrive; simple math would allow you to believe that the dresses would be in by the end of May, June at the latest. Fast forward to June, when the first of the awful reviews started to appear. We were all semi-worried, but were hoping that the reviews were far-fetched when they mentioned that dresses were not being received due to lack of payment from Chiffon. One of the bridesmaids called into the store on June 9th to check the status of the order, thinking it would be convenient for her to pick up the dress when she was in town for the bridal shower on June 10th, since she lives in Illinois. She spoke to Michelle, who told her that the dresses should be in by the end of the month. Upon request, Michelle informed the bridesmaid that she did not have the confirmation number or the exact ship date available, but again assured the bridesmaid they would be in by the end of June. On June 10th, another of the bridesmaids contacted Valerie, personally, to inquire about the dresses. Val again, gave the canned response of They should be in soon, I can check Monday on an exact date. After no call on Monday (June 12th) the bride called in on June 20th. The bride was then told by Valerie that she had been having huge issues with the designer, but she was certain shed addressed the issue, and that the dresses would be in by mid-July. At this point fear had started to set in because the lines we were being fed sounded eerily similar to the reviews we had been reading, but we were hopefulbig mistake.

Let me first start out by saying that Tammy, the florist who runs Chiffon Floral, is awesome! She did all the flowers for my wedding and they turned out absolutely beautiful and exactly how I wanted them. Also, Sandy, the seamstress, altered my wedding gown that I bought at a different store. The dress needed a lot of work and she did a beautiful job. Now for the bad.. My mom ordered her mother of the bride dress from them on January 29, 2017 and we were told it would be in by the beginning of July. By the middle of July, we hadn't heard a thing and started to worry. When we were up there for my dress fittings, we would ask for an update and if it would be in soon. Every time we were told that is would be here and not to worry. As the days passed, we started calling every couple of days and Val continued to tell us she would check on it for us and then would call us back. We NEVER once got a return phone call from her. Eventually, we just started calling the store to check in because we could not rely on a phone call back anymore. My wedding was August 12 and by the beginning of August, there was still no ETA on the dress. She lied to us and told us that it had shipped and would be in in a couple of days, but it never came in. My mom ended up have to find another dress elsewhere. When we asked for our money back, Val hesitated and then offered to credit the money we had paid towards my wedding dress alterations. Sounds to me like they didn't have the money to give back to us anyway. Had they not had my wedding dress to alter and my flowers to do, we would not have been so nice through this process. We had a feeling that something was not right. Through our efforts of finding my mom another dress, we have heard that Chiffon is either 1) not placing the order in the first place, or 2) placing the order but then never paying for it. I cannot believe that they would tell us not to worry and that the dress would be in, knowing fully well that it wouldn't. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! You won't get your dress and possibly not your money back. I had wanted to go look for my wedding dress here, but luckily they were closed because they were in the process of moving. Had I bought my wedding gown from them, it would have been an even worse experience.

Everyone loves the story of the emperor has no clothes.... You know what story people don't love the BRIDE that has no clothes. Imagine planning a wedding, picking out and manage every detail while working a full time job and juggling personal responsibilities. You order a dress that you will walk down the aisle to marry your best friend (unlike your first wedding to a selfish egotistical man child) and everything is running smoothly....until it's the week before the wedding and your dress isn't in. The store keeps promising it will be here in time. You wait hoping they have Cinderella style seamstress mice cause that's the only way it will be altered in time. Two day before the wedding and you are lucky enough that Dillard's has managed to ship you a dress in time. God bless a big box department store! (First time that has every been said) The "bridal/prom store" that has promised you the dress doesn't know what's going on and the owner conveniently isn't available. Maybe if she was around she could do what any 16 year old with a mall job is capable of. So no dress. No apology and the only way I got a refund is threatening small claims. Proceed at your own risk. You have a better chance getting a Vera Wang from your local corner meth dealer.

Part 2: On July 13th, the bride received a text message from Valerie that stated the dresses would be shipped on July 25th. Following this message, the bride took matters into her own hands; she contacted the designer directly. The gentleman informed her that the dresses had been ordered, but he could not say when without a confirmation number. Upon hearing that Chiffon was the dress store we were (attempting) to do business with he let out a disheartening, 'Ohhh,' and proceeded to explain that they'd been having issue with the store. Later on July 13th we were able to obtain the confirmation number for the order, and a call was put in to the designer the next day (Friday, July 14th) to determine the exact order date. (You may want to sit down for this.) The dresses were ordered.on June 20th. JUNE 20th! Thats eleven days after the first bridesmaid called in to inquire about the status of the dresses, and we were assured that they would be in by the end of that month; that's 136 days after we were sized and put money down on the dresses (.you may now insert a HUGE eye roll). In the phone call, we also learned that the dresses were, in fact, not shipping until August 1st. Please remember, the wedding is on August 19th. On Tuesday, August 1st, the bride contacted the designer, again, to be sure that the dresses would be shipping/had shipped that day. The designer then informed us that they have never once received payment for the order, so the dresses will not be shipping. Customer service recommended that the bride place the order through another store. The bride was able to make contact with Leenas Bridal (who proved to be a God-send) in Carmel, IN. They were willing to transfer our order to their account, however, due to the lack of payment made on the original order, each bridesmaid had to call and pay for the dress in full. This payment was in addition to the money that had already been put down in FEBRUARY. The bride went into Chiffon and presented Valerie with a letter which stated that the order had been transferred to another store and that we (the bridesmaids) should be refunded in full within ten days, which would have been August 10th. On August 10th, Valerie was contacted with questions regarding the whereabouts of our refunds. We were told by Valerie to call the store with our card information in order for the refund to be processed.
