Great hotel for the price! Conveniently located, safe neighborhood, clean rooms, and good amenities. Plus, its dog-friendly! Great spot to stop at on road trips.

No complaints about the room/hotel itself- clean, spacious, modern, sufficient breakfast. However, it was one of the most painful check-in experiences. Granted I booked through Hotel Tonight which Im sure adds another step. But the front desk gentleman on the night of 3/21/24 was extremely slow, poorly communicated with us, and seemed to blame colleagues for a poor hand off. Check-in took about 30 minutes at 11 PM (this was NOT with a busy lobby) so obviously we were tired and just wanted to be roomed.

Literally can't get closer to Drake. Sold out hotel, so parking hard to come by. Staff was polite, breakfast good. Nice pool area we didn't use.

We had a family get together here to enjoy the local events and it was perfect. Parking was right next to the building, the units are a large size and have a pull-out couch for the kids. The kitchenettes were nice for quick meals. Rooms were VERY clean. David (Front Desk Concierge) was super friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent and included. Overall, highly recommend if you are visiting Des Moines.
