Front desk was awesome.There was no wash cloth in the room.And the room could be a little cleaner.

I got to the first room and it was still dirty. The head house keeper act like it was a problem. I came out and was placed in another room. This room has no washcloths. Good I carry my own. The floor look like it had crumbs on it from Captain Ds. Very poor house keeping. The hot water barely worked and it had terrible pressure. Now Ms. Sissy the front desk clerk was amazing. She was friendly and very apologetic about the issues I was having. Really what they should have done after going in another room and it wasnt up to par was comp my room. Below is used toiletries in the shower.

First thought when I saw my room was oh no. Cracked and peeling wallpaper, worn paint, stained carpet, etc. But the room was very clean and smelled nice. Not like they used air freshener to try to hide odors but just the smell of a nice clean room. No bugs or mold either which was a plus.
Rooms: Rooms were very clean but in desperate need of remodeling. Paint chipped, wallpaper cracked and peeling in places, various holes in wall and on door where things had been removed. The ironing board was broken. On the plus side though, the room was comfortable, looked and smelled clean. Tv worked but i can't say about the air/heater as i didn't need it. As a no thrills room, this room was fine.
Nearby activities: Very close the a botanical gardens, I think for Western KY University? Would have loved to have gone but it rain need all day.
Safety: Not much around the hotel. Door had standard hotel locks. I didn't feel any more unsafe here then at other no frills places.
Noteworthy details: One of the friendliest and most helpful staffs I have ever come across at a hotel. I have stayed in everything from roach hotels to luxury suites and not come across any better.
