1st Lake Properties are scammers!! Dont rent with them. Please believe the bad reviews. Make sure upon vacating your apartment you do a walk through with a manager and take lots of pictures and videos. They will lie and make up something so they can keep your security deposit and make you pay out of pocket for something that is no issue in the apartment. I know because they did that to me. If I could put no stars trust me I would. Upon research they have been doing this to a lot of people. PLEASE BEWARE!!

Mold was found in my apartment (wish I had pictures before they tore my walls down as the solution.) My walls were left like this for nearly a year until I moved. I asked the office if they could fix it multiple times before my lease ended and was told there was nothing that could be done. Ended up having to move all the way to Baton Rouge and on the week before move out, I received a call that they were Coming into the apartment to replace the sheetrock to put back on the market. The second picture is from constant construction (VERY loud and disturbing) on the roof breaking my already broken walls even more. Wood chips were all over my apartment. I also had to have rat traps placed around my apartment because due to the walls being clearly exposed, Id hear scratching in the walls constantly. Ive been with 1st lake for 3+ years and was simply told that thered be no compensation and when I asked if they had any other rooms available to rent, the office said they did not and Id have to settle for the room I have. Do yourself a favor and stay away. Spend more money if you must.

UPON MOVING OUT WAS FALSEY PENALIZED FOR A CARPET REPLACEMENT AND A FLEA TREATMENT COSTING AROUND $1400. WAS TOLD AND ARGUED DOWN THAT THERE WAS URINE IN MY CARPET. IVE NEVER HAD A PET IN MY LIFE. THERE WAS NOT URINE IN THE CARPET AND A FLEA TREATMENT WAS A WASTE OF MONEY. ANY THING THAT COULD HAVE BEEN ON THE CARPET WAS FROM A DRINK SPILL AND IT DIDNT REQUIRE THE ENTIRE CARPET TO BE PULLED UP ALL AROUND THE APT. IT'S A RIP OFF AND BOGUS. DONT RENT UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY RIDICULOUS FEES UPON MOVE OUT

Quiet! I love my apt! Its an older complex, but Im happy! Front office staff are nice and helpful!
