Since being bought by Dead River they're a bit of a joke. They had been cleaning my boiler for about 6 hrs and I called to set it up again and they said they couldn't because I don't get oil from them. (I had just gotten oil from them a few months prior) The lady I was speaking to got an attitude with me for not getting oil with them consistently. They ended up scheduling me but said if I don't continue to get oil from them they won't be able to help me next time.
Refusing services to someone because they don't get other types of services from you is ridiculous and will cost them customers.

I was a customer of this outfit for many years until they charged me full price for an oil furnace cleaning that their HVAC technicians did not thoroughly complete. I did not discover this was happening until a different HVAC company took my oil furnace apart and showed me specifically where Augusta Fuel Company repeatedly neglected to vacuum out my furnace; the furnace was significantly caked with debris that should not have built up like that between routine cleanings. BUYER BEWARE!

I had a leak in my shower and a couple of other minor problems. Technician came, fixed one minor thing, than said that major issue (shower leak) is a lot better, and rest of issue's (drain got un clogged, and my I had to hold button for few seconds to flush toilet) are all fixed. I wasn't able to check right there because I had to leave to work. I got home later that day and learned that a major issue (shower leak) isn't fixed at all. The drain is still clogged, and I have to hold a few seconds to flush. Bill came in, and it's almost 600. I asked them if that's included them coming back to fix the actual problem, and they said it'll be more.
So it's $600 to fix the minor leak so far. I'm obviously going to get hold of BBB if they try to charge me that.

Update: I talked to Laurie (I believe) and she refunded me $80 (tech accidentally overcharged), than she sent me to a service master (Richard), who got hold of me eventually (it took few days of back and forth missing each other) and gave me one hour for tech to come back and install the part. Tech came back and installed it ( I took the shower apart for him, but he did put it back together after he replaced the part).
Verdict: They are pricey $90 to just show up and $160 per hour (plus parts, plus tax). However, they do show up faster than all other plumbers and respond very fast. I changed the rating (from 1 star) to 3 stars due to the high price.

Not impressed so far. The house I'm renting has an Augusta Fuel propane tank and the landlord has an account. When I called to sign up for service they wanted my social security number to run a credit check. I explained that I would provide a credit card to pay for propane upon delivery. I'm not buying a house or a car or taking out a loan from them. After a discussion with her supervisor they relented. I was told that I would be on automatic delivery and I was all set.
Two months later my tank is almost empty. So I call, only to be told that I need a gas check before I can get a delivery. I asked why no one told me this when I signed up and why no deliveries have been made. No one could explain. Now I need to take tim off from work to be here for a gas check.
Seriously?
