Weve had an absolutely excellent stay here. Loved our cute cottage, completely updated and very clean. Great location for spending time in Acadia (we were here to hike) and easy access to Bar Harbor. All of staff were helpful and genuinely friendly. Food from the onsite restaurant/market exceeded our expectations. This place is just lovely and very well run, would definitely come back.

Absolutely loved our stay here back in July! My husband and I made our first trip up to the northeast with plans to visit Acadia National Park, and the proximity of the Salt Cottages to the park and Bar Harbor's downtown area were so much better than we ever expected. The cottages themselves are so CHARMING. Upon arrival we were offered champagne or a blueberry flavored soda, which was such a nice touch! We did utilize the snack bar for coffee and pastries in the mornings, and we also found a day to take a break from hiking to enjoy the pool as well! I would definitely recommend the Salt Cottages to anyone visiting Bar Harbor!

Nice place, but the bed smelled of stale sweat. AC/heater very loud. Disruptive cycling on and off all night

I stayed here with my sister and while the rooms are well decorated its highly overpriced. - the rooms (ie not the cottages) are expensive and all by the main road which is super loud. Not the Acadia national park experience - the staff is nice but management is condescending and not customer focused - while we were there there was a storm that caused a power outage to half the property and the mindset was lets wait and see while there was no electricity or hot water available for >$500 a night. - we decided to leave at 1pm when they said they didnt know if power would be restored that same day and they said they were generous not to charge us for the night while they could even offer a descent stay (eg no shower and no light or power or wifi) Avoid this place as the value for money is very poor and they are very patronising with their guests.
