Amazing historic hotel with newly redone rooms. The room decor is retro chic. Beds are some the most comfortable Ive slept in - firm yet soft. Reminds me of Disneys premier resort beds. Bathroom towels are wonderfully soft. Great to see dispensers in the shower to cut down on waste. Skip the continental breakfast and try the banana bread French toast or the lobster Benedict. Both elevate the breakfast experience. The lobster Benedict gives you a generous portion of lobster claw meat. Alas, the inns shoreline suffered extensive damage during a winter storm. Theyre working feverishly to rebuild and strengthen the sea wall acknowledging climate change is at their front door. Rooms: Most rooms have an ocean view with a balcony. You can sit out on the wicker furniture overlooking the harbor harking back to days long gone. Its cathartic in every respect! The rooms are both well heated and air conditioned. Its New England. You need both.
