We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort Bar Harbor - Acadia Natl Park and were disappointed with our experience. * Outdated and worn-out rooms: Our room was tired and in need of a renovation. The decor was old-fashioned, and the furniture was worn and creaky. * Stains on ceiling and walls: We were dismayed to find stains on both the ceiling and walls, which gave the impression of a lack of maintenance. * Old furniture: The furniture in our room was outdated and uncomfortable. The bed was large, but not particularly comfortable, and the chairs and table were worn out. * Poor cleanliness: The room was not thoroughly cleaned, with dust and dirt in various areas. * Uncomfortable bed: Despite being large, the bed was not particularly comfortable, with a thin mattress and worn-out pillows. * Unfriendly and unhelpful staff: The staff we interacted with were gruff and unfriendly, failing to provide adequate customer service. * Limited and unimpressive breakfast buffet: The breakfast buffet offered a limited selection of food, which was not particularly fresh or appetizing. * Overpriced for the quality and condition of the hotel: Considering the state of the hotel, we felt that the prices were too high and did not offer good value for money. On the plus side, the hotel is located within Acadia National Park, which is a beautiful location. Additionally, the parking lot is large and free, which was a convenient bonus. However, these advantages were not enough to outweigh the many negative aspects of our stay.

Beautiful location for this resort. Rooms were large, but due for a renovation. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly.

We enjoyed the size and oceafront view from our room. The heated pool and hot tub was an added bonus after a long day of hiking and biking. Good location near the entrance of Acadia National Park and about a mile from town. Room and grounds were clean.
