I stayed here for two nights when a snowstorm knocked power out at home. Best Western Freeport Inn exceeded my expectations for the price, and in my opinion, is the best value option in the area. My room was on the second floor; the hotel does not have an elevator, but does have parking with access to the second and third floor with only a few steps. The room was surprisingly spacious, clean, and modernized - complete with usual amenities like free Wi-Fi, cable TV, and a small fridge. The beds and pillows were very comfortable; I spent a lot of time just laying down watching the snowfall out of the window. BWFI is a pet-friendly hotel, and I could not believe how quiet it was here. The only time I heard a dog was when walking to my room. A women's small dog nearly tripped me multiple times as I was carrying three heavy bags inside, but that's poor pet ownership. The same woman was also chain-smoking in front of the door as I was leaving, and refused to move away from the door when I came to help my mother to the car. They did plow the parking lot multiple times during the storm, which made getting out easy. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here, and I think it's a great value compared to options closer to Freeport.

Not the worst hotel. Some staff are friendly. Unfortunately they tell you that you are welcome and then tell you that you're not welcome after 4 or 5 days. I was basically turned away because my family doesn't have a home, and they don't want anyone living there. An individual at this establishment assured me that my family were welcome there and then we received a call on our 4th or 5th day informing us that our reservation was no good there and we must leave right away as they don't want people living there. Very demeaning to say the least. The rooms aren't bad, but mysteriously itchy. Would NOT recommend.

The itching and burning rash after a few days here was enough to send me running and never looking back! Take your money somewhere else! Hotels 44 down the road has breakfast, and so does Freeport Hotel, not to be confused with this place.
