Someone destroyed my mailbox a few days ago, and I went into the post office in the town I live in, Lebanon. I asked if mail would have been brought back to the post office if it is unavailable to be delivered to the residence, and was told that this post office only received packages that weren't able to be delivered. I was told my mail was in the post office in Sanford, fifteen to twenty minutes away from this post office, and about half an hour from my home. It's ridiculous and completely unnecessary that my mail is being sent to a post office in a city in which I do not live. I had already passed the Sanford post office on my way home from work in Lyman, and I'm definitely not backtracking and adding almost an hour to my drive. This post office shouldn't even exist if it can't hold onto mail for people that live in that town. Unacceptable.

Definitely less of a wait and hassle than Sanford even though parcels have to go through Sanford first.
