My husband, kids and I stayed at the Tradewinds on the Bay thinking it would be nice to be by the ocean. The price was great and we figured out why. The rooms were tiny and housekeeping wasnt actually available for towels when needed nor did they make rounds. If you book a room with a balcony on the Bay side instead of with the Inn (same building), continental breakfast is not included ($15 per person no matter the age). The set up of where to check in is confusing considering they are running two operations under the same roof. All around, we were not impressed nor satisfied with our stay. And as good as the view was of the water, we will not be booking again.

We showed up for a one night getaway, and walked into the trade wind front lobby door and were told that we were staying at the trade wind by the bay and to take the elevator down to this lobby. At this lobby we were told that we needed to walk around the construction site and that we needed to go into a back door that is propped open. Yes, the back door is left open so anyone can get in. Inside this door there is garbage and litter up a stairwell and eventually we found our room, only to find out that our actual hotel room door was left open. The heat was turned off and we figured out how to turn on the monitor heater and eventually the room warmed. (It is 10 degrees outside with an ocean facing sliding glass door) The room was tidy It is very close to everything! I would not stay here again. The rooms should be price decreased due to the construction and sketchy/dirty hallways etc. The staff was very nice, but they were embarrassed to tell us to walk around the outside, and when I asked what we should do if someone closes the back door with the stick holding it open, we were told to try to call. Phew Odd stay. Rooms: Door was open no heat on Small, but tidy Safety: Absolutely not safe- open to the public to walk in Walkability: Right in town Food & drinks: Plenty of restaurants

Nathan, I am so sorry to hear about your experience at Trade Winds Inn. Please remove this review and move to Trade Winds Inn. They are a different property than us and I am sure management of the hotel would like to see your review.
