First was issued a dirty room. Was moved to a clean one but was really disappointed how they handled the power outage. And no refund. Will not stay again or recommend.

Reviews are not accurate, not sure who or why this hotel is getting 5 star reviews. Was supposed to stay here 3 weeks but checked out after the first night. The dirtiest room I have ever walked into in any Hilton properties. both human and dog hair all over the room and bed. I have posted photos, front desk clerk gave me new bed sheets for me to change on my own as housekeeping was gone for the day. All kinds of bugs in the room. They did not appreciate me as a Diamond or any type of customer. Never got a word back from manager. Lets not get into the breakfast area dirtyness. Oh and you will not get any sleep if your room is facing the highway.

My family and I checked into a dirty room. My wife called downstairs and requested housekeeping only to be told that they had left for the day. The following morning at 9:30am, we once again requested housekeeping to stop by and clean our room. We returned that evening around 5:30pm to an uncleaned, unserved room. However, someone had clearly entered our room. My wife went to the front desk and requested to speak with a supervisor only to be yelled at by Leah at the front desk. We never were provided the name's of the housekeeper who entered our room. We had such a horrible experience. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

I dont know what Hilton is trying to accomplish with the Tru experience. It seems as though theyre trying a new, upgraded, contemporary experience but on a very limited budget. The location in Portland, ME is very poorly built. You can hear everything. Floors are cheap hardwood that move and creak when you walk on them. No freezer in the fridge. Faucet is loose in the bathroom. Cheap electric shade in our room fell out of its holder and is holding on by a wire. I was pushing the button to move it in the down position. Maintenance was unable to fix and said theyd come by tomorrow and completely remove it for repair. Desk is a rolling table with a completely uncomfortable chair. Lights by the bed are loose. Bed frame is dirty. Bed is very uncomfortable. Nothing in here makes sense. The idea has to be catering to overnight travelers. Business travelers and anyone staying more than a couple nights should avoid this place. Weve come to expect more from Hilton and have cancelled our second night here. Well be moving to another one of their locations. I would not spend money or time at another Tru location.
