I have been dealing with John and Crew for a very long time. In fact they are the only company that I trust to maintain and install seakeeper products. The installs are amazing, timely and affordable. If you are in the market for a Stabilizer this is the place.

I had my boat staged at this marina in Eastport, Annapolis, Md for 3 months this winter (Dec-Feb 24) with full intentions of having them replace the diesel generator. I paid $3k+ to have them winterize the boat (extremely expensive) but I paid it with no issues or questions asked. After repeatedly requesting for weeks on end for the replacement proposal, and to no avail, I finally informed them in late February to discontinue any and all activities that I was taking it elsewhere to have the work done. I paid another $1k+ for them to commission to boat so I could relocate it to another marina. Upon arriving at my boat in early March, there were no keys to be found to start the 2 diesel engines. I used my spare keys to start and check out both engines and all gauges before going to the office to inquire about the missing keys. From that point on and for the following 3 weeks, I got the runaround from Kurt Sova who did nothing but make up excuses and jerk me around about replacing the keys and key ring buoys. After admitting they couldnt find the keys and that they would replace them, the final straw was his about face and insulting email as follows: Kirk, We're still not understanding when and where these keys did or did not exist. It makes me wish you'd come into the office before you went to the boat. As it stands this whole thing, from our perspective, seems dubious. Kurt Sova | Service Manager From the get-go, I have never experienced such unprofessional and disrespectful customer service in my life. John Norton & Kurt Sova drastically lack in professionalism, communication skills and have no follow-up on any of commitments that they make. Its not the cost of the items they lost at issue as much as it is the principle of the whole matter. As a result, I have reversed the last credit card payment and deducted the replacement cost for the keys and buoys.

Business Response on Google Mar 30th, 2024
Mr. Young fails to mention a number of things within his review:1. Winterization was not just winterization. We performed engine services for both primary engines inclusive of filters, oil, and transmission fluid changes (onboard a boat that was filled with the owners belongings that had to be moved around to be able to perform the services).2. We informed Mr. Young up front that there were significant complications with his generator replacement as there is no space to work and very few options for his boat model. He assured us that there was "no rush" and that he would be "more than patient."3. He came to us at the end of December and all was done to help him despite his late entry to our workflow..4. Mr. Young does not mention that we did, in fact, obtain and provide a set of keys for the “missing keys.”5. Mr. Young also fails to mention that he was unavailable for a considerable portion of the time that the vessel was at our facility and that he did not arrive to pick up his boat when he stated he would do so.6. He does not mention that he was not penalized nor charged additionally for storage for the timeframe that he failed to pick up his boat.7. Mr. Young contacted our office screaming repeatedly into the phone. After attempting to speak with Mr Young and continuing to be screamed at, we terminated the contact. We do our best to please all of our customers. There is 1% of customers that no one can please. We do all possible to be professional, timely, and honest. Mr. Young is a case of a bad fit for our services. We wish him nothing but the best of luck finding a more compatible crew.
