James Wilson & Sons Construction LLC

this review is for James Wilson and Sons, James Wilson Roofing Pasadena Maryland. This is not to be confused with other Wilson Roofing companies in other areas and states. The work contract shows a Maryland Home Improvement License. That is not so. After my check for $4700.00 was cashed as a deposit for the shingles for my new roof, no one showed. I contacted the DLLR and found James WIlson and Sons Construction LLC does not have a license. James Wilson lists James Styles as a business partner. I spoke to Mr. Styles on the phone and he is not affiliated with James Wilson at all. I have been unable to get a refund of my deposit. No work was ever started or completed. No materials were ever delivered. I was scammed by James WIlson of Pasadena Maryland. Service: Roof installation

Don't respond to emails, phone calls. Lousy company. Takes forever to do a job. Poor quality, don't respond after they get there money Services: Roof repair, Gutter installation

They use high pressure tactics and their quote was extremely high (worked out to around $200per hour for labor by my rough calculations). I wouldn't use them.

Hired James Wilson Roofing a few years ago to install a small front porch roof.  I cannot comment on the quality of work - upon receiving partial payment up front, Mr. Wilson became uncommunicative and didn't return calls or provide an update on timeline of service.   Mr. Wilson eventually agreed to return the funds after legal action was explored.At the time, his website said he was licensed and insured.  The Maryland Home Improvement Commission number shown was assigned to another individual when verified on the state MHIC website .Do your homework - check contractor licenses on the Maryland Home Improvement Commission (MHIC) website, rather than relying on information posted on the contractor's social media.  dllr.state.md.us/license…
