Bloomfield Twp Planning Department

As a contractor for 35 years, I found the Bloomfield Twp. building inspector and the trade inspectors to be professional and knowledgeable (which isn't necessarily unusual). The unusual part was that they were also polite and helpful which unfortunately is a rarity among the many municipalities that we have worked in.

Came to help me and went out of their way to do so. Thank you officers Cory and Schlabaeh (I hope I spelled that right). With any luck this old Honda will get to 350k!

They are up and running. Went in today and got a permit in 15 minutes. Staff was friendly and helpful, to me and the other gentleman that was getting a building permit.

Just had a very pleasant meeting with the elected officials of Bloomfield. Everyone was great! I've been working with Andrea Bibby since January and she has truly been exceptional... and that's an understatement! We're living in some weird times and it may take a little longer for permits, but, that's in every city now. Some may talk negatively about the inspectors but they're just doing they're job...as frustrating as it can be, they want to keep us safe. The high standards are why it is a great place to live and do business!

Worst building department around it takes 10-15 minutes in any other township to get a permit Bloomfield township takes over a week to process This is unacceptable in the building industry
