        I was with Karen's agency for many years, always prepaid my entire plan for the year upfront. When I cancelled my plan a few months ago, her agency billed me for cancelling (even though I gave several months notice) because autopay was removed to avoid paying for the next year. They then did not inform me about the outstanding balance through the entire process of closing my accounts (wherein they actually refunded me several hundred dollars). Finally, rather than reach out about this bill that I was unaware of, they sent it straight to collections. It has been an incredibly frustrating experience and I would not recommend this agency.

      Andrew, I'm sorry about your experience. This sounds like a company issue though, not my agency.1. There isn't a fee for canceling. You're only charged for the days you have insurance.2. You were getting a discount for easy pay. You stopped easy pay so you lost the discount. This is why you had the outstanding balance.3. You would have been made aware of the outstanding balance between emails, phone calls and direct mail. This doesn't get sent to collections for months.4. Agencies don't make the rules or process billing.Even though you cancelled your policies Jenny in my office has been working on trying to get this all resolved for you. Agencies don't help a customer with billing after they've cancelled, But my agency does (again we don't make the rules or process bills). Based on this post I assume you would rather handle it yourself. You can call 1800Allstate. This way you don't have to talk to my agency.I'm sorry you think my agency intentionally overcharge, miss lead, or messed up your policy. If that was how I ran my agency I don't think I would still be in business for 34 years. Using social media with incorrect information to try and ruin my business is irresponsible.
