Not going into detail as our case is going to court, but our situation is extremely similar to the other 1-star review, unfortunately. Three different quotes with the final being way out of our budget that we were completely blindsided by after it was too late to turn back. Inexperienced crew with one good lead guy to basically do it all. Never once did Leigh oversee our project. Estimated one week to project completion which took well over approx. Three months. Requested a lift be rented ( for $6700) to place trusses, in which we did for one month in hopes my husband could use it once they were done so he could roof the house; Leigh's crew used it for about two days as they never showed up for mostly the entire month the lift was rented for. Too many red flags. Please check reviews of local contractors before choosing one. Our original contractor was severely injured and I do 100% believe Leigh took this project on to take advantage of the situation. His crew was recording 8hr days in which he was charging us for, little did he know, we had cameras at our property that showed in/out traffic with time stamps. He will claim COVID/Influenza played a part in all the arising issues. Also, claimed our first contractor did everything wrong to compensate for his increased contract price. He had no pictures of before/after photos which would show the changes that needed to be made. They made changes to our trusses by cutting into them with out any engineering change order to approve the changes. Claimed they only had the fireplace to complete before they were done (which we ended up letting them go at that point), come to find out there are quite of few items not completed. When they left the job site, they took tools, our tyvek and air hoses which were never returned. Long story short, please do your research before finalizing a contractor. He claimed he gave us discounts on materials, in which we purchased everything for this project. He has no proof of receipts for what he personally had to purchase. We were the ones running back-n-forth from the stores to get them everything they ever needed.

Leigh Thomas cannot be trusted. He lied to us about cost throughout the entire process and has left our family of four with an open uninsulated roof before winter. He admitted that he lied and did not give us an accurate quote like we asked for but just filled in the line items to match our budget so that we would hire him. Because of this he has left us with a half finished project and no funds to complete it. He will claim that the scope of the project changed and he will also lean on COVID as his reason for the insane prices. This is all false as we purchased 90% of the materials ourselves out of pocket and I have the receipts to prove this. When I requested his receipts and payroll to back up his bill he refused to provide it and said he shreds his receipts immediately after clipping his 11% off coupon. Does this sound like a man who has his business under control? He can claim that I am just disgruntled all he wants but I have the paperwork and documentation to back it up. He does not. He is a liar and I encourage anyone who has had work done by him to ask him for proof of hours and receipts for materials. We have also had an engineer evaluate the work that he did do and it is not done to code. He destroyed the flooring and then installed it without talking to us about any of it and without our approval. Now, you can actually see through the second floor into the first floor through the floor boards and we have to either remove it completely and start over or lay subfloor and then another flooring on top of it which will be a large cost to us that we cannot afford. He is a wolf in sheep's clothing, arrogant and self-centered. I hate being this person that has to expose him, but I do not want it to happen to anyone else. I want to make clear that I am speaking of Leigh specifically and not necessarily the people that work for him. He lies to them just as much as he does to his customers.
