Warnings, warnings, warnings! I lived here for 5 years 2016-to 2021. While I liked the apt itself, the management was not available to address concerns. The worst was when the management turned off the main heat in early April and I froze in the icy, brick unit and they refused to turn the heat back on; when it rained w some light snow, there was ice coating the huge windows; the toilet seat was icy cold; it was misery! I bought a little heater and stayed under blankets in my bed with my coat and winter hat on. Commonbond does NOT care about you! There was human feces in the halls laundry rooms, trash cans, etc. you would never know who you could run into. People pounding on my door at midnight and beyond looking for help.
There's even more, but I won't waste my time. You have been warned by a former resident.

2021-2022 version
I have lived here for longer than anyone has lived here, or worked here. Moved in before 2 bedrooms were even complete 14-15 yrs ago, and the building promised to give us first pick to 2 bedrooms. This never happened due to chaotic management. This place has its redeeming qualities, but here's the reality of why you should exercise caution here:
- wifi only goes go 3rd floor, it's not accessible to higher floors. This is a 12 story complex and our highest floor is 12.
-Your rent may change even if they tell you it will not.
-the amenities are currently cut off to residents, including a lounge, theater room, computer lab, fitness room, etc. The initial reasoning for this was covid-19 but residents have since been punished as a whole for being late on rent or behind on rent when this property touted itself as being pro housing justice. You will pay full price to live here while receiving no amenities that are actually advertised.
-The management cutting off access to a printer shot themselves in the foot for keeping residents paying on time as the management is slow to respond to anyone across floors, and did not respond to even legal case managers requesting legal documentation so that financial assistance and energy assistance could be obtained.
-theres much more about this place, but the perks are its convenient location somewhat justifying the hellfire that can be living here. If it continues into 2023, I'm going to change my star rating. If it all stabilizes by the end of the year, this building can get 3 stars. 4 stars for amenities actually returning.
I do not think I can in good faith say this complex has the capacity to be 5 stars due to the crime that can occur inside the building.

I literally live here. Quality has deteriorated over the years, but management is doing what they can with limited funds and pressure from local law and covid regulations
