I highly recommend Jon Gilbert for designing a custom jewelry piece! I went to Wayzata Jewelers with the idea of creating a ring that would incorporate diamonds from three generations of family wedding rings. Throughout the entire process, Jon listened to my ideas and included meaningful details I wanted integrated into the design. He used CAD software to form an image of the ring with me by his side, making sure every element was to my approval. Jon also printed the ring in 3D so I could see what the finished ring would look like on my finger prior to creating the final piece. I am so happy with the craftmanship and beauty of the finished ring! It celebrates the lives of my mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be an heirloom in my family for generations to come.

Jon's artistry touched our family as he helped co-create a new family heirloom - a hand embossed gold coin pendent for our daughter's graduation from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. We settled on the Scottish thistle to pay homage to her four years in Edinburgh and used a diamond from her deceased grandmother's wedding ring. Jon was wonderful to work with as we designed the piece and his finished work is breathtaking.

If you are reading this all you need to know is Jon is an amazing artist, person, and Jeweler! He made a custom engagement ring, incorporating a trail (In diamonds) to a mountain pass we first said we loved each other, that made it priceless. He had the right balance of listening to my ideas and vision to providing some other ideas to think about and collaborate to come up with the most awesome engement ring ever! Great experience with an appraisal with Carl and polishing/maintenance of a heirloom band of my Grandmothers with John, the owner. Kind, courteous and professional! I highly recommend this jeweler!
