Needed to leave an updated review now around 6 months or so since we fired James due to many issues with his work and timeliness. This weekend I discovered mold on our bathroom ceiling (he finished a bathroom and bedroom in our basement). after cutting out the drywall I found he had connected our bathroom ceiling vent to the furnace vent line going outside and hadnt sealed the connection. Meaning furnace fumes were leaking out and condensation had built up and dripped onto our bathroom ceiling ruining the drywall. Add this to the long list of issues with his work that we have spent the last 6 months redoing for cosmetic and safety reasons. At this point its just frustrating to still be finding issues we have to fix. James was certainly nice and always professional when he was here. But the quality, and most importantly the safety, of his work has just not been anywhere near acceptable or even up to code.

They showed up early and finished our job in one day! They were kind, professional and did a great job. They also cleaned up after themselves which is big to me. We will use them again.

Called to try and get a quote on a job. He came and looked but never got back to me and I was unable to contact him again. Can't comment on the quality of his work but the follow through of this company is lackluster.

This man was paid for 80% of a project that is barely 50% completed. He stopped showing up weeks ago, left a mess and won't respond to phone calls, text messages or emails. We will have to find another contractor willing to take over and complete the project, likely costing us thousands more. Complaints have been filed with the BBB and the MO AG's office. We are considering taking legal action to try to recoup some of our money. We hired him based on glowing reviews. DO NOT believe them. After filing a complaint with the BBB his wife called to say he was out of state for a family emergency and would be gone 3 weeks. We believed her. Three weeks passed and again no response to calls or texts. What a horrible and stressful this experience this has been. I wouldn't recommend him to replace a doorknob. Edit: We are now working with another contractor and a previous negative review was correct about crooked walls. Many, many errors are being found and we are waiting for an inspection with fear of what additional errors and shoddy work will be revealed. He also used regular lumber for an outdoor space [will likely rot over time and with weather] which we will have to replace, again costing us more money for something we've already paid towards this porch. I cannot stress enough how everyone should avoid this business like it was the plague.
