Emery Lofts was a cheap Crossroads solution and I moved in with low expectations. However, it just gets worse and worse over time. Countless leaks without anyone ever actually entering my apartment to remediate or check that it was resolved (I was texted water should stop soon and never heard back again on one of the occasions where my washing machine drain had filthy water pouring out of it.) Ive been locked out of the building multiple times due to malfunctioning doors and I was told to wait until the office opens, which is maybe every other week or so when they randomly show up. Nothing is energy efficient, so youre paying just as much as the luxury new options just a block South. Save your time, money, and personal property.

Horrible experience living at the emery lofts. Management non existent, many issues would go unaddressed, homeless people constantly in the building and the walls were paper thin. Stairwells were always filled with garbage and the elevators are constantly broken. Would not recommend living here!

It pains me to have to write this, but do not live here. The location is great and the units themselves are beautiful. The staff is an nightmare. When I moved in, I didn't have a mail key for an entire month because they needed to order new ones - my options were either not check my mail, or have it "drilled out" so that anybody could go up to my open mailbox. Repeated promises to update me, call me, or email me never happened. Recently, I submitted a maintenance request informing them the community laundry facility was down to 1 set of washers and dryers as the others wouldn't take change due to being full. This was not addressed for about 2 months and it was updated just to "need to get into it without breaking it." A few days later, the last machine got full. I went to staff in the office, and they were going to look into it -- needed to see if they owned the machines, or an outside company. Ok. A few days later, still nothing. I email the manager, and the regional manager, and ask for corporate's email. No response. About 1-2 weeks later, the regional manager texts all residents Saturday night (I think around 8pm) and I respond asking why she never replied. She tries to let the property managers handle it which is why she didn't get involved. I communicate ongoing issues getting ahold of anyone. She apologizes and (very generously!) offers to buy a washer/dryer set just for my unit! The issue is we have very minimal storage options which is why I didn't have my own. I took a few days to think about it. The next Sunday I text back asking when the community laundry will be fixed as that will sway my decision. Come Monday, no response, so I follow up via text Monday or Tuesday since it was sent on a weekend. Nothing. End of that week I ask staff in the office what's up with the laundry and that the property manager never responds. She informs me she is the property manager pretty testily, and that the regional manager had replied our email, so she didn't feel the need to. Odd, since we never got one, and the regional manager said they didn't respond to let the property manager deal with it? I ask why the regional manager isnt responding and am informed she was on vacation last week so is catching up on things. Frankly, 3 full days is more than enough to reply to a text. Nonetheless I say OK and leave for work/to check my email in case I missed it. Manager says she'll look into the washer and dryer as they're trying to determine who owns them, again, that does NOT take 3-4 weeks to figure out. She says she'll email me. Sure enough, no email, not even in junk. I call on Thursday or Friday, no answer, so I leave a VM. No reply. I leave a new voicemail today around 12:30pm. No answer. The office closes at 4pm now so you can't swing by after work. Whenever you DO see staff in the office, they're just sitting on their phones, so I assume they have the ability to do their jobs. This has been going on for almost 3 months at this point and despite texting, voicemails, and emails we haven't been able to get a hold of anyone in literal weeks. I texted on 11/26 and it is now 12/06. I've texted again, been promised an email in person, and left two voice mails since then with no contact. All this after only being texted on 11/18 after emailing with no reply from anyone (including managers) on 11/10. This after getting the run around in person, after our maintenance request regarding the issue being ignored for about 7 weeks. This is so laughably unprofessional and ridiculous. When you pay over $1,700 for rent and parking for 2 people, you should be able to get a call back in less than 3 weeks or at least an email. You literally have to TRY to not do your job this much. They take your money and not only won't help if you need literally anything, they just won't even reply back to you. This is totally insane and unacceptable and the staff here should be both personally and professionally ashamed. Never in my life have I lived somewhere where the staff don't care about you this much and are as useless as here.

My time living in this location was initially positive under the previous management. However, since the new leadership took over, I've experienced nothing but problems. The current management team is terrible at communicating, they make constant changes, and there's a new employee every week, causing endless frustration. Despite reporting a broken AC unit during the hottest months of July and August, they failed to assist me and my family, and we were forced to leave the apartment. On top of that, my living room has suffered from four or five ceiling leaks that have caused damage to my furniture. I strongly advise against choosing this location and suggest you spend your money elsewhere. The people in charge live in a different state, and they seem to care little about their tenants or the community. In summary, my living experience here has been the absolute worst, thanks to the current management's negligence. They even killed my plants! All in all, I could have had a much better experience, but instead, I've been completely disappointed.
