Super 8 by Wyndham Grand Island South

Amazing. I stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago when it was a Rhodeway inn. That review was not so good. This place has been renovated and looks amazing. The man at the front desk is very friendly and helpful. They have a full breakfast bar. Super 8 style. I highly recommend this place and I will for sure stay here again. Rooms: Rooms are newly renovated. Very clean. The West side rooms have a view of a lake. The beds were super comfortable. Could have slept all day. Safety: Parking lot is well lit. Hallways and stairwells have cameras. Quiet rooms. Felt incredibly safe. Noteworthy details: Behind the motel there is a manmade lake. It's a very nice place to take a walk. I probably won't today because I'm running a bit late. Also I saw a couple of pretty large geese on the lakefront and geese can be jerks.

We come to Grand Island for the State Fair and to visit family and friends, and we come about twice a year. We had previously stayed at this location when it was a Rodeway inn because of its closeness to the fair grounds and the pricing was reasonable. The manager at the time was not very pleasant when checking in and the hotel itself felt quaint but very dated and dark, they went in the right direction by changing managers as this new one is getting stuff done! The lobby itself was cluttered with chairs and tables and the lobby was so dark. We had no intentions of coming back but When we were preparing to check out the young lady at the front desk was nice and informed us the hotel would be under construction and would be changing to a Super 8. When booking for our visit this time we decided to give the location another shot and boy am I glad we did!! The hotel is still under some construction but the difference was night and day!! When we checked in the young man at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. Our room was completely remodeled and looked more modern and cozy, and the view of the pond was so nice we almost didnt want to leave our room. The lobby looks more open and bright and they have added an additional breakfast room and now have more options and serve waffles, the gentleman doing breakfast said they will be adding more hot items soon so that is something we hope to look forward to next visit. We are glad we gave this location a second chance and cant wait to come back this fall for the 2024 state fair.

Came here for a small business trip. Affordable. Walmart is walking distance so it was very convenient. Clean rooms thats smelled fresh.

Came to visit family in town and decided to stay here because the price was very fair compared to some of the other hotels in town. When checking in the gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and respectful which I appreciated and I asked if I could have a room facing the water and they were able to accommodate me. The view of the lake was very nice and the rooms newly remodeled they looked very nice and well worth the price of the stay! They had breakfast in a room they said had recently been added which was very clean and organized and had decent options for a super 8. We will definitely be staying here again next time we are in town!! Rooms: Very clean and a great view!!
