Holiday Inn Express & Suites Grand Island, an IHG Hotel

I travel quite a bit for work and stay in more than my fair share of hotels across the country. With that being said I have to say IHG properties have grown on me a lot. But this particular one, while the the rooms are good, beds are comfortable, breakfast was good as well.. my overall stay was good. My only complaint is the price of this one location. It is definitely not a $225/ night hotel, even as an elite rewards member I have stayed at many others of the same caliber and didnt pay more than $140. This is price gouging at its finest. For what they are asking per night it should be a 5 star hotel, it was subpar at best. Very disappointing. I will not recommend this location to anyone nor will I be back!

In reply to the owner, our confirmation was 22368126. If you dont have us registered then you can remove the credit card charge of $181.70! We stayed at this hotel last night. I had asked for a handicap accessible room, which our room was marked as an accessible room but I guess I disagree with the hotels designation. The grab bar for the toilet was under the sink, way too low to assist you. Plus the toilet was a standard toilet, not higher as most handicap toilets are. No grab bars in the shower. Then my husband found ants on the toilet! Very disappointed in this holiday inn!

We were on our way to KC to visit family and decided to stay here as our usual place had the pool and hot tub closed for renovation, too bad for them as we found a better place to stay!! Super friendly staff, immaculately clean through out. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub, they were the cleanest we have seen in years. Breakfast was great as well as the happy hour snacks and adult beverages. Our room was super quiet. We were so impressed we stayed here on our way home as well! The price was definitely competitive for this area. On our return visit we found a box of chocolates on the bed as it was almost Valentines day. Also when we checked in we got a bag of gourmet popcorn! We will definitely stay here next time we are headed to KC Food & drinks: One of the best BWW's I have ever been to is about 100 yards away, check out out review on them!
