On behalf of myself and my team I wanted to apologize for the poor experience you had while staying at our property. As a Marriott Bonvoy member you are extremely valued and we at Marriott strive to ensure all our members leave completely satisfied. It is clear we did not deliver on this goal and for that I am deeply sorry. I do wish I had been able to personally speak with you upon your departure. I have issued 5,000 points to your account in hopes that, should your travels bring you back to Edison, you give us a cherished second chance to again be your host.

image My room was clean but I was only there for about 4 hours before someone with a key tried to enter my room. Thank goodness I had the security lock engaged. Apparently front desk person named Matt gave a key to another guest that went to desk for "replacement key" and told them he was in my room. He did not check the reservation before issuing the key. I called the front desk several times from the phone in my room but surprisingly there was no answer. I called from my cell and Matt immediately answered and apologized but said he was just not feeling well and had a headache so he made a mistake. I received a call from the general manager Brian who also apologized. Brian also offered to change my room but I chose to checkout instead. This is not an acceptable experience in any way. While Brian acknowledged that and handled the situation professionally and sincerely, THIS IS NOT OK! I am still unclear if the man that tried to enter my room had ill intentions or if it was genuinely a mistake. Mistake or not, it was terrifying. That man said nothing and made no attempt to apologize making me think it wasn't a mistake at all. This has certainly damaged my trust in safety at marriott hotels but I will never return to this one.
