Nice hotel, with nice staff. I still find charging for parking unforgivable though.

The Fairfield hotel by Marriott in Astoria is well-maintained and clean, offering an overall positive experience. However, the room located at the basement level is a downside, and the heating system is quite noisy, which can disrupt guests sleep. Overall, its an acceptable choice for short stays, but improvements in room soundproofing could enhance the experience.

This is a total dump. I was given a room on the cellar level, which is a true basement. Our window backed out onto a maintenance area and they didnt seem to lock very well. The check in agent was probably the unfriendliest hotel staff member I have encountered anywhere across the globe. Reminded her I needed 4 pm late checkout and she literally rolled her eyes, although she did honor it. Coffee was undrinkable. Shuttle hours did not meet needs. This hotel reminds me of the old LaGuardia hideous, unapologetic, and uninterested in improving. Thankfully LGA is no longer that, so the hotel needs to rethink itself.
