Unfortunately, this office dropped the ball. Its been hard finding a dental office in this area who accepts Delta Dental from Essential Plan with CDPHP. I ask specific question to see if they accepted my insurance and it was confirmed that they do. This phone call was on March 5th. I was scheduled two appointments. One for a routine cleaning, & one for a more serious issue with one tooth. Routine Cleaning was scheduled out till May. They booked me an appointment closer to date because of the issue with my tooth for March 14th. Day prior I got a call from the office that they were rescheduling my appointment out until April 4th. I was not happy with the rescheduling but said okay because again its hard finding a dental facility that accepts my insurance. Unfortunately TODAY , which again is a day prior to my appointment, I received a call from the office stating they DONT accept my insurance and I would have to pay out of pocket. At this moment now Im frustrated. Im asking questions to gain a better understanding and the women I spoke to had no consideration to my situation but instead and I quote yeah unfortunately we are to BUSY to check on appointments until the day of, I just called to tell you we dont accept your insurance but you are able to pay out of pocket. She also put the blame on the call center and stated that the call center gives out false information frequently. Then I rebutted with okay, if you guys are to busy until the day of, when my appointment was rescheduled on March 13th from March 14th until April 4th no one noticed my insurance wasnt accepted? Her response was bland. An apology would of been nice. Something instead of meeting a person whos been patient until this moment with nothing. It was not polite. So, my advice for anyone booking an appointment with 1st Advantage in Niskayuna, is to do their job. Make sure the information they stated is accurate and dont rely on the personnel there. You may receive false information and it could save you time to go back out there to schedule an appt with a dental office that accepts your insurance. As they move forward in their appointments , I have to wait another month or two. Thank you.
