From the staff to the bartender !!! This place is amazing !!! I was skeptical when I stopped ( becuase I'm from Denver ) and NY always seems a world away and it is, but this place is amazing !!!! Driving through NY was horrible, but this is a place I would consider going back to NY for....

The bathroom was very tight and fogged easily, but other than that, great stay!
Walkability: Easy walk to local restaurants and bars.

Rooms: Rooms appear to have been renovated in the last 2-3 years so the lighting feels modern, the TV is a nice LCD with Netflix, Amazon and free MAX streaming. Shower pressure is great with a variable showerhead. Unfortunately my room smelled vaguely of nicotine, maybe it was a smoking room 20 years ago and they never got the smell out of the walls. The window wasn't sealed well and there was a noticeable draft when then the winter winds gusted.
Walkability: Centrally located downtown, there isn't much in the immediate area. There are some decent restaurants nearby but many are closed Sun-Tues. That's a Utica problem though, not the hotel.
Food & drinks: Bartenders in the afternoon and evening are amazing, very friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet won't blow you away but it is solid and exactly what you'd expect from a business hotel.
