I lived here 3 years previously. The neighborhood has a lot of trees and the apartment itself was fine. The gym is pretty small. The grass and roads were maintained frequently, but the stairs were rarely cleaned through the whole year. There were ants and cockroaches. There is a shared mailroom where you need to find your packages on your own. The basic rent is low, but other charges, like water and valet trash are high. The move-out charge is very high, 2-3 times the amount charged by apartments around Duke. Some staff are friendly, while some are not. One lady interrupted my conversation with another staff member by yelling from the office. Sometimes I felt they were blaming me in their emails.

One of the worst experiences in my life was living here. At first I was very pleased and thrilled to be approved after so many failed attempts in the past. As time went on, charges and price jumps were happening and not being communicated until I questioned it. They never wiped or cleaned the outside of the building and walk ways from pollen, debris and insects nests/webs. They cleaned it once in 2 yrs, then took another 4 months to do again after I beg and pleaded with them about the situation. The best thing about the apartment was the ceiling fan in the living room. Other than that, the worst place I've ever lived. I DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO LIVE THERE.
