appliances sold are NOT covered under manufacturers warranty. Do not purchase from this company at any location. Every item we purchased was found out to be "condemned " by the manufacturer

Potential buyers, I've got to share my frustrating experience with Downeast. So, I was all excited about snagging a dishwasher at what seemed like a good price. But boy, did things take a turn for the worse! The dishwasher they sent was not just damaged; it was a total dud - didn't even work. I ring up Downeast, expecting some help, right? Nope. They hit me with this head-scratcher: "Wait 30 days and call the warranty folks." So, against my instincts, I waited. Fast forward to the warranty call - they're asking for a $99 fee to fix a dishwasher that never even saw a bubble bath. Paid the fee, thinking I'm getting somewhere. But oh no, the repair dragged on forever, leaving me without a dishwasher for ages. Called Downeast to vent my frustration, and they basically shrugged it off, saying it's a warranty thing. This whole mess, different from what others faced, just proves Downeast is all about promising one thing and delivering a headache. The cheap prices ain't worth the stress and extra costs. If you're thinking of buying from Downeast, save yourself the trouble - go elsewhere for a smoother ride.

Buyer beware. Bought a fridge from them. Inspected everything thoroughly but took their word when they said they had the handles for it. The handles were bent and unusable and I didnt see them until they were delivered. Tried working with them to get replacement handles but over 3 months later of no responses and empty promises, still no handles so Im having to buy them myself. So much for a good deal. In the end, it is my fault for not inspecting them but they shouldnt have hid the fact that the handles were broken. EDIT: Now have an issue with the freezer and I'm having to call to make a claim under the warranty they offer with their product. Not looking good as they registered the warranty as sold over 2 years ago so the warranty company thinks it is expired already. Will update whether the warranty company comes through with service as well. UPDATE: Got the warranty situation resolved through the warranty company, but be aware it really isn't a "Warranty", it is actually more of an Extended Service Plan, and it comes with a deductible. In my case, the deductible is $100, so I can add that to the cost of getting this fridge from them. At the end of the day, this is not a good deal to get a discount for scratches and dents, and definitely not worth the frustration. UPDATE #2: We are nearly 2 months into a warranty claim with the company they get their extended warranties through. Many hours on the phone and still do not have a resolution. The manufacturer did not want to accept the hand-written receipt I got from Downeast. That has taken about 4 weeks to work through and still no resolution.
