Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Columbus OSU

I stayed at the Fairfield Inn and Suites OSU for a few days for a professional conference. Service was excellent. Breakfast every morning, and hotel staff accommodate me before I even got in due to multiple flight delays. They also recommended transportation and shuttle options as needed. The hotel is on a direct bus line to downtown. I plan to recommend this hotel to anybody visiting Columbus and needing a place to stay! Rooms: Room was clean and welcoming, bathroom was great. Food & drinks: Delicious food options near by, from fast food that hits the spot to awesome Indian food to baked goods.

If you reserve through Expedia: The management here changed our reservation from a room with two double beds to a studio with a bed and pull out sofa bed. They said they take Expedia reservations as a recommendation. I would call the hotel directly next time, as Expedia may not be trusted. Of course,this is not what I paid for. Read the fine print when you reserve through Expedia.

Chose this hotel for its location. We planned to attend a sporting event and wanted to be on the side of the road so we could walk. Ended up not doing that as it was cold and the game was earlier than checkin. Important to know the hotel is undergoing significant renovations. It is needed! This property is rundown but looks like they are spending $ to get it done. Could be the $6 bottled water they are selling in the lobby will go towards the renovation. In the end we received what we wanted: very friendly check-in from the attendant, a comfortable bed, nice tv with working remote, hot coffee in the morning, and some simple breakfast options. The parking lot was not the nicest. Hope that is part of the renovation. The hotel also has the slowest elevator Ive been in. Quite an inconvenience with construction workers using it with their equipment. This is a large property that must be popular with its location to the athletic fields. I look forward to seeing this hotel after the renovation.
