We were never so happy to see a shelter after that days hike. It had everything we needed and then some.

It is worth taking the small walk to see the marker, but it is a bit underwhelming since the original post in the picture in the placard is missing.

Love the color scheme. King bed super comfortable. Metal base a little noisy when getting in and out bed. Restroom and shower cozy.

Still a cool place to visit, though it's not open to the public. Feels like something you find in a ghost town now.
