Comfort Inn & Suites Shawnee North near I-40

Rooms: The regular rate for April 2024 was $75 but for same night no notice $120 so book ahead. Mostly ok room except phone didnt work and when I mentioned I was using my cell to call the office they didnt even ask for my room number to repair the phone so adequate not luxury. Good breakfast w eggs & sausage.

Tried to blame us for not being able to connect to their broken wifi. Absolutely laughably bad customer service. Got the whole "did you try restarting your device?" we are not idiots. Your wifi is broken. Nevermind the broken treadmill, broken vending machine, curtains that don't close, rotting corner in the bathroom, and 1 single outlet between 2 beds. There are so many other hotels nearby. Don't pick this one.

We have stayed here every year for the past few years. This year we could tell it had gone down hill a bit. To start off, I needed to set up a booking for multiple rooms. This brand wasn't very easy or helpful when it came to this. I called and asked if they did group rates or anything like that. She said no! So I booked myself and others booked a bit after. Later I found out they did do group bookings but I only found out because I went online. We ended up booking 9 rooms at this establishment and 4 more at other establishments. As for our experience, The bed in 229 was so very uncomfortable. Plus there was a metal part sticking out that hurt like heck to hit your leg on. 3 people got injured. Ac/heat was crazy bipolar. It was either WAY too cold or WAY too hot. Not just right. The hide-a-bed was by far the worst I have ever felt. And the pool was merky(?) It was a tad cold And had a film over the top. We were there for a big family event and one lady said we could most definitely use the breakfast room for a hang out spot as long as we cleaned up but the next lady said no and we could rent a media room for $100 but could only use it untill 10pm. So we hung out at the Hampton Inn instead(it will be our go to from here on out). House keeping was very nice and I felt they did a good job. But something happened and the whole place smelled terrible. It was burning rubber from something and it gave us all bad headaches. While we were sitting in the lobby waiting to figure out where to go hang out(since it was only 2hr to 10 and didn't want to pay the 100 for 2 hrs) we were waiting on a call and the lady at the front desk was very very rude and unaccommodating. Actually telling my husband to shut up. We have stayed there for years and it gets a little worse every year. We won't be back untill some things change. Rooms: Ours was big but the king bed was terribly uncomfortable and the heat and ac were crazy. It had 2 settings basically. 1.Burn in hell 2. antartica it read 52 and we could get it to change unless we turned it to heat then it went crazy and was way too hott.
