I stayed here a while ago while traveling solo and needed a place to stay asap. I drove in after midnight and was able to get a room here after stoping at several other hotels and not being able to find a place to stay for the night. I was beyond stressed but as soon as the man opened the door to help me I felt instant relief. He had the sweetest dog and the service was amazing. It was a good place to get some sleep for the night before hitting the road again in the AM.

Great rooms, a cozy cottage/cabin feel inside. Amazing staff who went above and beyond to help me when I was in a bind.

Literally the worst place I stayed at during a month-long road trip around the U.S. PROS: Friendly check-in staff CONS: 1) Deceptive advertising about pet fees. Copied directly from their website: "Pets (only dogs) are allowed at an additional charge of $15 per pet per day (Restricted to 2 pet in each room)." So why was I charged $25 for my dog? And what's the rationale behind a pet fee if you offer zero amenities for them (not even a patch of grass bigger than a bathtub, just a small strip of gravel). All my dog did was come into the room, fall asleep on the ground, then leave. I understand that there are irresponsible dog owners out there so why not just charge a refundable security deposit instead of penalizing the responsible ones? Pet fees are just greedy especially when there's no amenities for them and they're higher than what you advertised when I booked my room online. 2) No Wi-Fi. No password provided or network mentioned to guests upon check-in. Change your advertising to "WiFi-free" instead of claiming you offer wifi to guests. My poor phone data cap is doomed this month because of this place. 3) Horrible parking (which they cleverly advertise as "convenient"). Everything is tightly crammed together and only compact cars would (barely) fit well, while most of the lot currently consist of big trucks and vans. 4) Rooms are severely outdated. My main room light gave off a creepy, blood red glow that did nothing to help me see in the darkness + flies in the bathroom when I arrived (even though it's winter and all the windows were closed hmmm). Walls are super thin, too so you hear absolutely everything your neighbors are up to. The upstairs is currently undergoing renovations (?) but the warning signs look like they were borrowed from a horror movie set. I wish I just slept in my car at a rest stop. Would've been cheaper and more comfortable than this place. I woke up 3 hours earlier than I'd planned to just so I could leave ASAP.

The silver spur hs never been a 5 star motel. But it was always clean and well kept in the past. However on our last stay it has significantly gone downhill. Upon arrival in order to get a room, you have to stand outside, (the lobby is locked.) Call a cell phone number to request a room, then wait about 10 minutes at least for someone to come out to let you in. On our last stay we were give a ground floor room. The bed was clean and the room appeared clean. However. The TV was not hooked up nor plugged it, in fact there was no power cord anywhere in the room for it. The water temp control in the shower did not work properly, it was either scalding hot or freezing cold. The bed had broken springs or broken boards in the box springs. I woke up early to use the rest room. When I went to go back to bed my leg caught on the sharp end of the bed frame that was sticking out away from the bed, and cut a pretty good chunk out if my leg. Outside was trashy with full garbage cans and empty filthy crates sitting outside of rooms. Sadly. We will not be staying at this once quaint, now trashy motel again!!!
