Champions is a great program but their website is very poor and its complicated to switch locations (which happens a lot during vacations and holidays). Using ERDC with Champions is also tricky and complicated. So, the program is great and the staff is great but the administrative process not so much. I wish they would update their website.

My son went to Bridger champions for his last school year and Bridger champ camp during summer. My son has some issues with leaving designated areas and because of that I was pretty understanding of a few incidents but not all. Champ camp was a bit hectic and he was able to make it off school property at one point. The teachers and aides were very caring but my issue is with the facility set up for summer . They had the program in the pods not connected to the actual school and the pods lacked air conditioning. Due to this the door was open a good majority of time allowing for opportunities for my son to leave the classrooms. For a week straight he had issues leaving in which a baby gate could have fixed this but nothing was provided as a resolve. I do not fault staff for this again but the site was definitely not equipped for kiddos who could not focus on staying in the designated area. My other complaint is there's a lot of chaos surrounding when the sites will or will not be open between school and summer school dates. I had to scramble to find alternative care pre champ camp without much notice. Not to mention on extreme heat days they closed early with short or same day notice. As a mom who works full time it caused a lot of stress trying to manage all of that unpredictability. My plan was to have him start at another champions site the following year but honestly my stress levels with dealing with this last summer pushed me into finding alternative care. He is now at a daycare that has multiple locked doors , air conditioning, and a better more permanent environment. Champions is $300 more expensive and provides much less. This new program also includes food which is a blessing. I feel like the staff is great but the program definitely needs to be invested into more to assure things like this aren't affecting the parents who depend on before and after school care .
