Sunriver Vacation Rentals and Cabins by Vacasa

My review is about two gentlemen who fixed our hot water. It would have been really easy for them to move us to a new unit and deal with it later, but being as late as it was and us not wanting to repack the car after the drive and move to another unit- they agreed to keep us there and had us up and running shortly thereafter. I wouldn't expect that to be handled with the urgency and professionalism these two displayed during the entire process, and their customer service in just making it work to keep us in place. Top notch crew, thank you for that.

Evening. They sent the confirmation email but no entry code. Arrived late. Kids tired. Bathrooms needed. 20 minutes on hold. They grugingly sent the codes after insinuating that I was not the person on the rental agreement. No apologies Morning. Kids want to go for a bike ride. House was advertised with two bikes. But no no bikes present. 20 minutes on hold, hang up on, hold again. Mini lecture on how they have to store bikes in winter. It's spring break, 66 degrees and sunny. 4 hours or more later bikes dropped off. No apology. Now. Dinner time. Halfway through hamburgers propane runs our. Used my 30 minutes on hold and counting to write this review. Husband went to the store to buy propane so dinner is not ruined. Don't rent with these folks. No one is is working and no one cares aboat the guests.

The house is perfect for large families/groups. Tons of rooms and bathrooms spread throughout the home with modern updates. We had 5 adults and 4 children for our stay and the house was plenty big. The cons: Vacasa dropped the ball. The hot tub appeared to be working when we arrived until we got in it. We turned the temperature up and the screen froze and the hot tub shut down. Also there was such a strong odor of chlorine that the steamed burned your eyes. We called Vacasa and they sent someone out the following day. The guy said the chlorine levels were to acidic but he fixed the problem. The following time we get into the hot tub the chlorine levels were so off that they left a rash over three of our entire bodies that itched and burned for the remainder of our trip. Called Vacasa who said they would send someone out shortly. That someone never showed up. Called Vacasa again and they said they would refund us $60....ok? It cost $2k to rent the home after all the fees and the most you will refund is $60? Half the reason folks go to Sunriver during the winter is for the hot tub. The living room would be complete if all the light fixtures worked and there was more/better seating arrangements. The house was great. Vacasa was not. Will not be booking through Vacasa again due too terrible customer service and false promises.
