        The restaurant was clean and efficient. The staff was very attentive even for a large group with a few wild children at the table. They made accommodations for those with food dislikes as well.

        My sister and I stopped in for a bite to eat after a medical procedure. We were seated right away. Our server was a delight. And we asked questions about their upcoming holiday meal presentation and we received wonderful and welcoming answers. We were thrilled with the service and warm reception of the staff. We definitely will return. Dietary restrictions: My sister has dietary restrictions and they were well taken care of. We also asked about their upcoming holiday meal and a family members vegetarian diet. We were informed it wouldn't be a problem!

      In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Their mission was simple: create a fun and friendly atmosphere where the local community could enjoy huge portions of home-style cooking at a reasonable price. Today, we continue their mission at every Black Bear Diner across the country, as we passionately provide guests an outstanding experience. Our menu offers comfort food classics, and our entire menu is offered all day long. Whether you are craving pancakes at 8 pm or pot roast at 8 am - we've got something for everyone.
