Econo Lodge Altoona I-99

I've been staying here for awhile due to homelessness because I just keep being told I'm on a waiting list and "to wait". During the whole time here everyone at the front desk has been very accommodating, especially the owner. Kindness goes a long way these days and it's greatly appreciated. There's a few small things here and there; for example in one room the fridge had a mini freezer section and this fridge doesn't, and other guests not picking up after their pets, but that's not the hotels fault. Would definitely recommend to stay here!

Christmas 2021 the staff provided a nice traditional meal. Ham, green beans, scalloped potatoes, dinner rolls, and a cupcake for desert. Really hit the spot and provided a warm atmosphere for those staying at the motel on Christmas day.

This hotel is a dump . Tarps strung along front porch because of leaking roof. Room extremely small. Room had no ventilation and lack or a properly functioning exhaust fan. Room steamed up from shower then, property manager is trying to hold security deposit. The smoke detector had a plastic bag over it. Very scary monthly guests staying here walking around. Not clean. Room was not well maintained. The front desk first said the shower caused the paint to peel. I asked for pictures they then changed to they had to wipe walls. They will not return the security deposit. I picked up any paper or empty cups and any personal trash. In fact this room was cleaner when checking out than when Checked in This is so bad I had to file with the BBB. Not recommended. Do not give this location a credit card
