        Great location. The buildings and grounds a very well maintained but we need artwork in the hallways. My neighbors are very friendly and everyone helps everyone.

        I like living at the Metropolitan Apts. I downsized from a 2-story, 3-bedroom house at my daughters' urgings and was concerned apt. living might be a bit noisy. It is actually quiet here, which was a pleasant surprise. The neighbors are friendly. There are elevators in the 3-story buildings.The location is ideal for me. I can walk to McCaffrey's for groceries. It is close to schools, churches, doctors, hospital, library, senior center, and the Y. The Doylestown Dart stops at the front of my building which is convenient if unable to drive. Maintenance is superb. Response is fast and efficient. The property manager is very knowledgeable. The downside is the unexpected, substantial, yearly rent increases, mandatory storage fee, combined now with the responsibility for all utility charges (water, trash, sewer), additional charges to use pool and/or fitness center, and "convenience fees" which have become challenging for many residents. When I moved in there was one building in the complex that had a no-dogs policy. Dogs are now permitted. Some apts. have patios or balconies. Doylestown is a lovely town.
