DO NOT Stare Here! Ive been staying in Holiday Inn properties for several decades. Never, not one time, has any property copied my drivers license and kept it on file after I checked out. Creepy, creepy creepy. Upon checkout I inquired as to why and asked for the photo copy. Nope, I was told its that property management policy to take a photo copy of your drivers license and retain it after you leave.
There is NO legitimate reason for this! Not one. There are multiple nefarious reasons to keep a copy of someones drivers license.
Youve been warned, DO NOT stay at Candlewood Suites in York, PA. Theyre not trustworthy.

Key cards didn't work after checking in, really thin walls and floor so could hear every little noise, bathroom sink had no water pressure, tub and shower faucets weren't installed properly so with the lightest touch they came out of the wall, room smelled damp and there was no fan for ventilation during showers which made it worse, window locks were broken so couldn't open it, floor was sticky and gross, carpet was not vacuumed (don't even want to think about how it has probably never been shampooed), washers and dryers were disgusting and most were broken, thermostat was falling off the wall and was hanging in for dear life by the wires, the "cleaning" product they used smelled like pesticide, exterior hotel doors didn't shut because of broken floor tiles, and to top it off they only offer house keeping service if you stay a minimum of 7 nights.

It was pretty difficult to find this place with a GPS, theres no sign leading you down road by LCBC. Delivery person even got lost and they were from around town. Rooms were nice and its definitely comfortable beds with plenty of pillows. Store is open 24 hrs with snacks and fresh fruit. Definitely return when were in the area
