Was able to open an account with $100, $4900 under the required balance, and then was charged maintenance fees until all of my money was gone. Spoke with the front desk to see what we could do, and was told by a manager that "I should have come in and done it in person" and "it's really on you for this, I know it stings a little." Zero compassion. Closed all Bank Newport accounts. Have fun kids.

This bank sucks. They are there to sell you their products like a bunch of used car salesmen. They have no loyalty to customers who have been with this bank for over 20 years. My guess is they will be eaten by a larger and more professional bank. Don't give them your money. They are completely incompetent.
