I recently moved here for a job. Right now I'm living in my car until I save money for a place. Sometimes my tiktok followers will get me a room. I've stayed in every hotel in this town and I will say this is the nicest one I've stayed in. I like it so much that when I start getting paid from my new job I think this is where I'm going to stay until I find my own place.

Recently stayed at the Brookings location, the heat didnt work in our room. It was -17 windchill outside and all our heater would do is blow cold air. When I advised this to the hotel staff, I was told oh man, that sounds miserable. Ill let someone know. No one ever came to look at it, we were not offered a discount. Our stays here are normally great, without any hiccups, however, this was not a pleasant stay.
Safety: -17 windchill outside, draft coming through the window- no heat. Miserable experience.

Tara,I apologize for this issue. You should not have had to deal with that, and it is unacceptable. The proper staff was notified, but unfortunately that staff is not available on weekends. I also apologize that no one with our front desk followed up or got back to you about this. It looks like your reservation was part a group booking (2 rooms with the same name) so I can't properly identify which room and card to discount/refund. If you reach back out to us to clear up that minor issue, a discount/refund will certainly be given. Again my deepest apologies for this, and thank you for the feedback. This motel is on the spendy side especially since breakfast is not included and has to be ordered at check in. There is no pool so I think almost $250 a night is insane price for a motel to not atleast include breakfast or have a pool....this room was also booked almost a year ago as well

Miranda, I understand how you feel, I would love to have a pool at our property but unfortunately we do not. It looks like for the dates that you stayed, our rooms were in short supply and there was high demand as there was an event in town. The cost of our rooms fluctuate with demand, so this likely contributed towards the price of the room. As for the amenities, other hotels may offer these additional amenities that our property does not. However those amenities are also factored into the overall cost of your stay even if you end up not taking advantage of everything they offer. At MyPlace you only pay for what you use.
