I've been going to MTE Dr Alyssa Hudson since moving to this area of Tennessee in 2020. Every visit has been top notch professional ~ the receptionists, the exam assistants, and last/not least, Dr Hudson. Recently I had PRK on my left eye for mono-vision correction. I am extremely happy with the results. I highly recommend Dr Hudson and her team.

Dr. Hudson performed my Lasik in December of 2023. My first visit for a consultation was chaotic. I called afterwards and explained my hesitation and concerns with Donna, the Lasik coordinator. She was incredibly understanding, appreciative of my feedback and asked when I could return for another consult which she performed herself. That visit was MUCH calmer and informative, cementing Donna into my list of Favorite People of All Time. On the day of surgery, I felt like I was in a day spa. Everyone was hospitable and attentive. They are there for whatever you need in the surgery prep area. The Lasik procedure lasted about 5 minutes. My improved vision was instant and continued to improve as weeks and months went by. All follow up appointments were equally as pleasant and efficient. Dr. Hudson, Donna and the surgery staff at Middle TN Eye are amazing. My only regret is that I didnt do it sooner.

I had my lasik surgery done back in October but wanted to wait about 6 months to make sure it really wasnt too good to be true, and let me tell you this is the best thing I have ever done, I had worn glasses since I was 6 and now Im 28 and just get to live a life where glasses arent constantly in the way. If you are considering lasik, schedule a consultation and run dont walk.

I had LASIK in 2022 and Dr. Hudson assured me that I would only need readers, but that I would have clear vision at every other distance. I moved right after my surgery so I was instructed by Donna, the LASIK coordinator, to make a followup appointment with an ophthalmologist in my new city after one week, which I did. Although the doc said my eyes were healing fine, I still could not see clearly at any measurable distance. As Donna requested, I called her to report on my followup. She then told me that Dr. Hudson said it takes up to a month for my eyes to adjust to my new prescription from the LASIK. My eyes did not improve but a tiny bit, at a close middle distance. After repeated calls to report everything I see is blurry at most distances, I couldn't reach Donna. When I finally got through to her, she was less than receptive to my report. I hung up the phone feeling helpless. After 2 months had gone by, I went back to the doc in my new city and again he said my eyes were healing fine, and that I should give them six months for full adjustment. It is now almost 6 months to the day I had my LASIK, and I can see up close with readers. I can also see 15 feet away somewhat clearly, but anything past that is blurry to the point where I cannot read signs on the street. I used to be at least far-sighted if nothing else. But now my vision is worse. I feel mislead and let down. And now, I will again need to wear glasses, but I need a new prescription to boot. I do not recommend Dr. Hudson for LASIK or the office for their overall lack of concern for my eyesight.
